The Thinking Fund is a registered South African non-profit company (NPC) and a Public Benefit Organisation (PBO), officially approved under Section 18A of the Income Tax Act by SARS.
As a Section 18A approved PBO, The Thinking Fund can issue a Section 18A tax certificate for every qualifying donation. Eligible South African donors, individuals and companies, can claim that donation as a deduction against their taxable income.
In practice: your generosity funds bursaries, workshops and creative training for young South Africans, and reduces your own tax liability at the same time.
Give once-off or monthly to The Thinking Fund NPC via EFT or our online widget.
We issue you a Section 18A certificate for your records, with all required SARS details.
You submit the certificate with your tax return to claim the applicable deduction.
Corporate donors can count contributions toward CSI and B-BBEE socio-economic development spend.
